Dominique Khawaja joined Brave/Architecture in the Fall of 2019. In May 2019, she graduated Cum Laude from the University of Houston, Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture with a Bachelors in Architecture, Minor in Business, and Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Throughout her time at the University of Houston she worked through a variety of different studios that broadened her knowledge of design making for more thoughtful final products. The projects that influenced her most though were ones that incorporated nature, sustainability, connections, community and integration. In her final year she had the opportunity to be a research assistant for the Mid-Brays Strategic Plan where she worked in flood mitigation and Memorial Park where she gathered research implemented in park planning. These opportunities strengthened her experience in research, analysis, planning and her interests of focus in design.
In her free time, Dominique enjoys exploring all forms of art, coffee, traveling, sketching and spending time with friends and family. She also loves music, so she is usually finding the next concert to go to.
