Production Manager & Studio Leader
BRAVE/architecture, recipient of the 2021 Texas Society of Architects Firm Award, is looking for a self-starting individual Production Manager & Studio Leader.
The candidate should have demonstrated ability coordinating all aspects of the job, including but not limited to scheduling work, performing quality control reviews, and efficiently interfacing with staff, project team and clients. A solid understanding of code requirements and permitting processes is needed. Leadership skills and the ability to train and delegate work to others are a key requisite.
The essential function of this position is to ensure the seamless coordination of production of all projects in the office, and the successful completion of design development and construction documentation phases, both from a technical as well as from a financial standpoint.
The candidate’s traits need to be compatible with our Firm’s culture and philosophies. Required experience is with a variety of client types and project scales as illustrated by the Firm’s portfolio.

Skills & Responsibilities
Setting up, directing, and managing scheduling aspects of multiple projects
Preparation of strategic plans for project success
Coordination of project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects during design development and construction documentation
Organizing workflow for managed teams to eliminate downtime and streamline timely and quality production, from early set cartooning, through redlining review sets, and performing timely QA/QC reviews
Assisting the teams with the technical aspects of projects and the development of project detailing
Minimum Requirements
5-year Architectural Degree from an accredited school of architecture
8+ years of direct related experience in the USA
Experience with architectural Construction Document detailing
Knowledge of building material specifications and performance, and diverse construction methods in accordance to the Firm’s portfolio
Candidate should be a self-starter, self-direct her/his work, be organized and detail-oriented, and have strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency with a variety of software

Marketing Manager
BRAVE/architecture, recipient of the 2021 Texas Society of Architects Firm Award, is looking to immediately hire a full-time Marketing Manager. Applicants must have solid experience in marketing professional architecture services, an interest in business development, and willingness to thrive in a creative and dynamic environment. The position requires working with the Firm’s leadership on business development activities to win new business from targeted clients and business sectors.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Lead the marketing group in the execution of company marketing materials and tools including Requests for Qualification, brochures, client database, mailings, design award submittals, project data sheets and press releases
Serve as a key person within the Firm responsible for creating new business relationships for gaining new projects
Assist in maintaining existing relationships and where desirable leverage these into new ones
Represent the Firm at select industry events for the purpose of generating solid project leads
Stay informed of current and developing market trends
Work with Principals to monitor the implementation of a Business Development Plan
Assist in maintenance of company website and social media presence; coordination of special marketing events; and, coordination of client satisfaction surveys
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, General Business or Architecture/Design plus a minimum of five years of current experience, exclusively in Architecture
Must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and be able to analyze opportunities strategically to know how to best position the Firm with professionals from a variety of sectors
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office
Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated to accomplish agreed business development goals
Possess excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and composition

Subject: Marketing Manager
Office Manager/ Bookkeeping Support
BRAVE/architecture, recipient of the 2021 Texas Society of Architects Firm Award, is looking for the right individual to join our dynamic and welcoming architecture firm located in the Museum District. Duties will focus mainly on typical Office Manager tasks of a small professional services firm in A&E industry, including bookkeeping support. This position reports to the Business Manager and interfaces often with firm’s management team. Candidate should have at least 3 year’s of relevant experience in a professional setting (architecture, design, or engineering a plus) and be able to manage multiple tasks while meshing with the different workstyles of the management team. An interest in architecture and design is a plus.
Skills & Responsibilities:
Office Manager Duties
Independently manage very light phone traffic; greet occasional visitors; manage daily deliveries & mail; maintain basic inventory of office & kitchen supplies; maintain office-wide calendar; organize 3 small annual company events; occasionally interact with building management; manage semi-monthly recycling pick up
Occasionally interface with outside IT consultant when needed and track new asset purchases
Assist administratively with new employee onboarding, including preparation of forms and manuals
Maintain general office and some project administration digital files on administration drive in an orderly fashion
Draft AIA contract documents, utilizing the AIA software, under the direction and supervision of firm Principals; track client / consultant execution of finalized contracts
Assess new or existing equipment contract/leases and make recommendations
Occasionally assist administratively with Marketing tasks such as mail outs, etc.
Arrange for occasional repairs for residential rental property owned by Founding Principal
Build-up firm knowledge over time to be able to handle more administrative tasks independently
Bookkeeping Duties
Input general office invoices into accounting software (will provide training as needed)
Provide general bookkeeping support around billing, payroll, payables and receivables
Interest in building knowledge and use of accounting software is a strong plus
Other administrative or bookkeeping duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Affinity for typical tasks associated with office management and basic bookkeeping
Detail-oriented by nature with a facility in working with numbers
Understanding and experience with basic accounting concepts and procedures
Ability to take initiative, work independently and monitor progress of assignments without being reminded
Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to produce professional business correspondence
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn Windows Parallels (we work on macs)
Willingness to deepen knowledge through training and use over time of Deltek Ajera accounting software
Ability to work with others in small teams with an affable and willing demeanor
Capacity to act responsibly and ethically; able to maintain regular and punctual attendance
Ability to work with confidential firm information and maintain discretion
Ability to take a systematic approach to implementing or maintaining firm procedures & processes
Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities
Knowledge of construction and AIA services and billing is a strong plus
