Recenter provides services and programs to help predominately homeless men recover from alcoholism and drug addiction to return to productive lives. The organization provides non-medical alcohol detox, drug rehabilitation and housing, to allow its clients to recover and return to society as contributing members.

This project consists of a new 50,000 SF mixed-use building at the intersection of Main St. and Truxillo St. in Houston, Texas. The rapidly developing area of Midtown required a building that enhances the characteristics of a pedestrian realm. The project has over 60 habitation units with full bathrooms and kitchenettes, common living areas, a dining hall, and kitchen to feed op to three shifts of 150 people during each meal, and administrative office. Outdoor amenities including terraces, porches, and a vegetated roof where the residents can grow some of their own vegetables.
