Designed for a family of five, this house is in a suburban area outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Overlooking a small lake, the home’s plan is organized on two levels. The ground floor houses all the public and service areas while the second floor includes the family’s private areas, bedrooms, and the children’s playroom. The house has a cast-in-place concrete structure with a cement stucco façade over masonry walls. Other materials used include stone walls, aluminum windows, wood decks, and a flat composition roof. On the interior, the floors are finished with solid Ipe wood, while all walls and ceilings are finished in traditional plaster. Interior and exterior sliding doors allow individual spaces to open to each other creating larger communal spaces.
